My philosophy
My philosophy is very simple: increasing human performance while reducing the risk of injury and keeping you healthy while progressing you closer to your goals. The way we achieve this is by creating an effective program to make efficiencies in your everyday movement and patterns.
my story
When I was young, I aspired to be like the body-building guys I saw in the magazines: Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler. I would read these magazines while standing in line at the supermarket and I wanted to learn how to achieve that level of mass. As I grew up fascinated with this industry, my parents bought me my first real piece of exercise equipment at 13 years old: a squat rack with a cable system attached. I began to spend a lot of my free time in my basement with loud music and teaching myself the ins and outs of how to use this equipment. Since I had spent all my time in my own self-made “gym”, I never learned the proper ways to work my body and achieve the results I strived for.
As I began to think about my future and what I wanted to study in college, I was drawn immediately to the strength and conditioning field. I developed a real passion for working out and learned a lot doing it on my own. I wanted to further that passion and learn the science behind the movement and how to achieve specific results by incorporating appropriate exercises. I knew I wanted to educate people how to properly exercise to reduce the risk of injury. Through both working and belonging to a handful of commercial size gyms, I have seen countless people using equipment incorrectly. I strive to make people the best version of themselves by teaching them the tools they need to perform at their best both inside and outside of the gym. |
